Issue seems to be tied to the Reset Button and newest BIOS version for some MSI boards. (edit: The system isn't booting, why you are seeing "Power Saving Mode" on your system. If so, turn off the system, disconnect those pins, then try again and see if it starts booting properly. Oddly enough, people are saying they are seeing this issue a lot on MSI boards since the most recent BIOS updates.Ĭheck and see if your Reset Switch (RESET SW) is connected to the header pins on the motherboard. I never have an issue when I am in the bios or when I was going through the installation process for windows. Both of those ports actually work to turn the monitor on, but it goes into power save mode when trying to load windows. I tried a usb port into the MB and also a DVI into the graphics card. I have tried different monitors and different ports and have had the same issue. Now when I try turn the pc on, it goes to the initial windows boot screen with the image and the circle on the bottom middle showing it is loading, but within a few seconds the monitor will go to power save mode. I eventually got the PC to go to the desktop one time, but after about 3 minutes it entered power save mode again. I had to try a few time because during the installation my monitor would enter power save mode.
I just booted windows 10 onto a new build.
